RMA Work Order

1.User can go to Production -> Production Planning -> RMA & Rework Work Order to create the RMA work order or send unit to RMA work order.

2.To create RMA work order, users need to fill in the required fields as shown in the figure below.

3.User can also enter the work order number that has been created in InforLN and click the Validate button to retrieve the information of the work order.

4.User can check if the work order has been pulled to mTrac through the Auto Release Status page.

5.Rework/RMA work order attributes:


  • Change Serial Number – Require user to enter a new serial number.
  •  Change Part Number From – Change the scanned unit’s part number when it is different from RMA part number.
  • Ignore Product Tree – Allow user to skip unit association.
  • Recollect Product Tree Data – To require user to re-enter the data input for association.
  • Ignore Production Comp Tracking – To ignore the component traceability.
  • Ignore Production Data Collection – To allows users to skip the data collection response process.
  • Remove CSN – remove the Customer Serial Number of the scanned unit(s).
  • Ignore Product Serial Number Format – to disable serial number format validation.


6.Three different route options:


  • Continue On Existing Route – continue on the route of the scanned unit.
  • Use Work Order Route – use current work order route. For example, if there are multiple route versions from 001 to 007, user can select either one to act as the route for RMA work order.
  • Apply Route – allow user to select another route such as RMA route or Rework route.

7.To apply the RMA/ Rework route, user is required to create the route through Route Maintenance Page.

8.Then, user can select the created RMA/Rework Route on RMA/Rework work order creation page.

9.User is able skip the route step by checking the “Route Step To Skip” option when the Data Collection Type is Work Order Configurable.

10.Once the user has filled in the details, user can click on “Submit” button to create/save the RMA work order.

11. User can start scanning the units after the RMA work order has been successfully created. User is required to select the Focused Factory And Line/Machine and enter the Serial Number of the unit and click on the “Add” button to send the unit to RMA work order.

12.Unit’s work order will be changed to RMA work order after user has successfully scanned the unit.

13.User is able to see the process of transferring the unit from production work order to RMA work order through Unit History screen.
