3. The purpose of choosing a slot is to check whether the selected slot has sufficient quantity for transaction. In the above scenario, the Slot 100 of SMT-Bottom has 2 alternate parts assigned to it which are 0020575 (200) and 3025792 (50) respectively. The Slot 100 of SMT-Top has sufficient quantity to proceed as Slot 100 of SMT-Bottom shares the extra quantity to it due to they have alternate parts in common.
4. Part sharing can only occur if both the SMT-Bottom and SMT-Top have the same part. Part sharing only happens between parts from different side (One from SMT-Top and another from SMT-Bottom) . Alternatively, part sharing is not possible between same side even if multiple primary parts in the same side have the same alternate part.
